So how does trust work? Trust is built on two major drivers – one is emotional, the other is experience. Just understanding this part alone gives us some insight on some things we do consistently to either build trust or tear it down.
Things like integrity, attitude, focus and authenticity can be beneficial in building trust – but how can we take actionable steps to start building trust in all these facets? Sometimes, it’s the idea of humility. Sometimes we get so caught up in our day to day lives that we all have to step back sometimes and realize it really isn’t all about you. A lot of the time, it’s the little things that can break trust. When a leader can exercise humility, they become more mindful and attentive to their relationships.
